M. Atoll School – Anglophones English Club successfully conducted its first Reading Circle activity as part of its effort to promote English language learning, reading habits, and confidence among students.
The activity was held with the participation of club members from different grades. During the session, students read short stories, shared their understanding, discussed new vocabulary, and expressed their opinions in English. The activity created a friendly and supportive environment where students were encouraged to speak confidently and listen respectfully to one another.
The main aim of the Reading Circle was to help students develop their reading, speaking, listening, and critical thinking skills. Students also learned how to summarize stories, identify main ideas, and share personal reflections based on what they had read.
Anglophones English Club believes that learning English becomes more meaningful when students are given opportunities to use the language in real situations. Activities such as reading circles, storytelling, debates, spelling challenges, creative writing, and public speaking will continue to be organized throughout the year.
The club hopes to inspire more students to enjoy reading, speak with confidence, and express their ideas creatively in English. Through these activities, Anglophones English Club will continue to support the school’s vision of developing talented, capable, and responsible students.
